當45歲↓的青年藝術家
走進了擁有26年歲月的王朝大酒店
當平均年齡不超過35歲的青年當代藝術家們走進了擁有26年歲月的王朝大酒店，一邊是生猛活力，
語不驚人死不休的當代新圖像；一邊是優雅別致，坐落在台北市中心的高級飯店；兩種截然不同美學概念的衝突與融合，
即將在5月7-10日＜YOUNG ART TAIPEI 2009第一屆台北國際當代藝術博覽會＞呈現在你的面前！
就如同跨界、跨語彙、跨文化等概念早已成為當代藝術驅使自己源源不絕向前流動的能量，
在王朝大酒店展出的YOUNG ART當代作品們也絞盡腦汁，一層一層擴張至你我的視線之內，挑戰了王朝大酒店的氣派大廳與牆面。
而這次積極改變形象、期望能藉著當代藝術的進駐來調整飯店原有氛圍的王朝酒店也開放幾處公共空間供YOUNG ART TAIPEI 2009擺放參展藝廊藝術品，讓進門的住房旅客都能嗅到一股不一樣的空氣。
一進大廳迎接的，不再是穿著典雅制服的王朝服務生，而是這幾具帶著面具的大玩偶。
由兩位東京設計師 Akihiko Ando 與 Eri Uchiyama 於2006年所組成的創作團Tokyo Kamen此次帶來作品＜Noah’s Ark＞。
有感於現代社會中，人們往往隱瞞自己情感，無法自然表達喜怒哀樂的情緒，便藉助能劇面具的概念（同時也是團隊名稱Tokyo Kamen的由來）進行創作。
此次作品由日本畫廊ART U ROOM引介至YOUNG ART TAIPEI 2009展出，更顯現了當代藝術已經不再謹守藝術與設計之間的分界，擴大了藝術收藏的可能性。
另一件擺放在大廳的雕塑，則是由家畫廊所代理的黃贊倫作品＜P175＞，在機械的陳列下，運算出一則則關於未來世界的機械神話寓言，以極冷的機械感與粉色系的＜Noah’s Ark＞做為對比。
在大廳入門櫥窗取代時尚展示的，是金枝藝術與來自日本的湘南台藝廊Shonandai Gallery分別呈現的兩件作品。
金枝藝術帶來了黃步青的蒺藜子作品，運用原生材料或失能的物質，以如詩的裝置敘述生命的感知與經歷，與其併列擺置的則是由Shonandai Gallery代理的Taeko Maezawa（前澤妙子）的作品。
另外在大廳後方手扶梯旁的大牆面，還有德鴻畫廊帶來的未曝光藝術品，德鴻負責人陳世彬先生神祕地表示這位化名黑雞先生的塗鴉作品，必定會讓所有參觀者目光為之驚豔！
除了在YOUNG ART TAIPEI期間擺放在王朝大酒店一樓大廳的展品外，5月7日開幕酒會的二樓宴會廳外也少不了藝術品的陪伴。
威廉當代藝術空間將展示杜溪的作品＜飛上枝頭作鳳凰＞，以其風格鮮明的色彩運用，替YOUNG ART TAIPEI 2009開幕晚宴帶來一股熱鬧氛圍！

Walk into a 26-year-old Hotel
Opening on next Thursday at Sunworld Dynasty Hotel (Taipei), YOUNG ART TAIPEI will present you a perfect collision between young artists under 45 years old and an antique hotel with 26 years history. What is young? What is old? What is contemporary? What is classic? Wiping away all the pre-existing boundary, contemporary art works by young artists will occupy not only the exhibition space – the 15th floor of Sunworld Dynasty Hotel – at YOUNG ART TAIPEI but also mark their existence in the hotel lobby. Without doubt, they are the perfect match!
With the hospitality of Sunworld Dynasty Hotel, YOUNG ART TAIPEI display couples of artworks from both Japan and Taiwan in the public spaces. Those artworks exhibited in the lobby include Tokyo Kamen’s sculpture (represented by Art U-Room), Huang Tsang-Luen’s ＜P175＞(represented by Jia Art Gallery), a mysterious painter from South Taiwan Ogay’s graffiti(represented by Der-Horng Art Gallery). The display window at the entrance also marks a new page of fashion in contemporary art society with the focus on two separate works from Shonandai Gallery’s represented artist Taeko Maezawa and Zin Jhi Gallery’s Huang Pu-Ching.
