Off-Site Art以全新的態度與思維面對異質場域
Yishu-Journal of Chinese Contemporary Art (http://www.yishujournal.com/) 為一具代表性的中國當代藝術期刊，成立於2002年，為典藏國際版，編輯部於溫哥華，鄭勝天先生為總策劃，keith Wallace為主編。2008年由季刊改為雙月刊。內容包括論文、展覽評論、書評、藝術家訪談等，為國際讀者打開一扇觀看廣泛意義之下的中國當代藝術與文化之窗。
Yishu 第40期專刊討論Off-Site Art (場外藝術) 在台灣、香港與中國之發展現況。Off-site art在此專輯裡指稱發生在美術館空間之外，在日常空間裡的藝術實踐，off-在英文語境裡意含多重意義，例如「之外」、「超越」、「離開」、「斷」「不」或「異於」等，off-site art指藝術作品不僅在離開物理意義上的畫廊空間，同時也放棄畫廊系統、舊有思維模式與既存的工作方式等，藝術家以一個新的態度面對新的場域，在畫廊場域之外的空間以其作品創造獨特的時空經驗。「場域」是此類藝術所關注的焦點，Yishu40專刊邀請在台灣、香港與中國大陸當地學者、策展人與藝術家從區域的文化、歷史、社會、政治、經濟的差異來觀看，希望可從中交叉對照出off-site art的區域性實踐的異同。

Yishu - Journal of Contemporary Chinese Art, established in 2002, is a leading journal in the coverage of Chinese contemporary art and culture. With each bi-monthly issue, Yishu presents scholarly essays on topical matters, critical commentary of conferences, exhibitions and books in the Chinese art field. Yishu aims to provide an authoritative forum for dialogue and debate around the visual and literary forms being produced within an expanded understanding of contemporary Chinese art. The editorial department of Yishu located in Vancouver, Canada and published by ARTCO in Taipei.
