1980出生的小沢沙加耶畢業於京都藝術設計學院. 於2004-2008 年間求學於瑞士藝術設計學院.
小沢沙加耶的世界是個極為內在的世界，靜悄悄、卻充滿痕跡的世界，無論存在其中的是藝術家化身，或是包含著更多屬於所有人的內在和宇宙。但是，「單獨存在在那個世界」的孤獨感，卻不是否定的情緒，相反地，被孤獨所包圍的他們（或我們）選擇了留下－騎著馬離我們遠去的少年、雪地中望著我們微笑的女孩、坐在草地上品嚐蘋果的少女和灰熊、站在冬日湖畔遠眺黑色森林的背影......他們都選擇留在被發現的、被記憶下來的那時那刻，不願離去。小沢沙加耶有意識地創造這樣的另一個世界，一個並不完全外於現實世界的那個世界－而在那個世界的某處，和這個世界相通著。
對小沢沙加耶而言，她並不想具體描繪某個物語，而是描繪帶有物語魅力的繪畫，畫面上所出現的人物、情景，都任由我們自己解讀－或許這才是真正真實的世界？就如網路時代的人們也逐漸寧願相信那端的世界才為真實一般......。
Ozawa Sakae was born in 1980, she graduated from Kyoto University of Arts and Design in 2003, and graduated from Die Akademie der bildenken Kuenste Wien(University of Applied Arts Vienna) in 2008.
Ozawa Sakae is often described by the world as having a sense of loneliness or solitude. In her images we see a happy exterior, but it hides a loneliness that we might have once experienced ourselves – the world of Ozawa Sakae is an extremely internal world; it is quiet, yet filled with traces, regardless if it is the embodiment of the artist existing there or the universe or internal world that belongs to everyone. However, this "stand-alone in the world" sense of loneliness does not deny emotions, on the contrary, those (or us) that are wrapped in loneliness choose to stay – a young man riding away on a horse, a girl smiling at us in the snow, a young girl and grey bear tasting apples in the grass, an image of a back gazing toward a winter lake and black forest… they all choose to stay in those undiscovered and memorialized moments, unwilling to leave. Ozawa Sakae consciously creates another world like this, a world not entirely different from the real world – and somewhere in her world, it connects with this world.
The characters and sceneries that appear in the images can all be interpreted by us – maybe that is the real world? Just like in this Internet era where people slowly prefer to believe that the world on the other end is reality…
